Our striking new building isn’t just a cafe and bistro, it is also an interactive wildlife centre.
Our aim is to bring visitors young and old closer to nature through our exciting and informative displays and our interactive computers.
Situated at the opposite end of the building to our cafe but within easy view, the wildlife centre will help to keep your children amused and entertained whilst you relax and enjoy a leisurely coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.
During the winter our real log fire will keep you warm and cosy whilst you relax in a comfy chair and the children use the interactive screen embedded in the coffee table.
The walls are covered in brightly coloured and informative picture boards that contain a wealth of information on local wildlife, their habitats and behaviour; there’s a seasonal guide to what’s going on around us and who you might see scampering around the fields and hedgerows and there’s also an entire wall dedicated to the sea and the birds that can be found nearby.
We also have three interactive touch screens that offer access to even more information and provide a digital-age educational experience for today’s techno-kids.
But once you’ve all had your fill and the kids are starting to get fidgety, it’s time for a good old-fashioned walk around the fields and woodlands that make up our farm which stretches from The Weir all the way to the sea at Widemouth Bay.
